Seton Hall University School of Graduate Medical Education is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians. Seton Hall University School of Graduate Medical Education designates this CME activity for a maximum of 2 hours in Category 1 credit toward the American Medical Association Physician's Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only those hours of credit that he/she actually spent in the educational activity.
Pharmacists: Independent Pharmacy Alliance, Inc. is approved by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education as a provider of continuing pharmaceutical education. Completion of this program provides for 2 hour (0.2 CEU) of continuing education credit. Participants must complete and submit a registration form and the program evaluation form in order to receive CE. Statements of credit will be mailed within 4-6 weeks of the program. The program number for this symposium is 191-999-02-001-L01. There is no cost to attend this symposium.
Nurses: Application has been made for 2 contact hours to the Oncology Nursing Society's Approval Unit. The Oncology Nursing Society is accredited as an approver of continuing education in nursing by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

Objectives: Upon completion of this activity the participants should be able to: -Interpret key data from current clinical trials presented on lung, breast, hematological and gynecological cancers. -Compare current and future directions of the evolving treatment of lung, breast, hematological and gynecological cancers. -Describe the importance of drug interactions, pre-medications, and side effects of chemotherapy. -Describe the quality of life issues in regard to compliance and use of chemo and radiation therapy. Target Audience: The primary target audience for this program is medical oncologists, physicians, pharmacists, nurses and other clinicians involved in the care of patients with cancer. |
