University, Chicago, IL Statement of Need Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the third most prevalent form of cancer,
following carcinomas of the prostate and lung in men and of the breast and
lung in women. Among nonsmoking men and women, CRC is the leading cause of
cancer death in the Learning Objectives Upon completion of this activity, the participants should be able to: Discuss the various treatment options in CRC metastatic disease;
describe the latest advances in the medical treatment of CRC targeted
therapy; discuss the rationale for adjuvant therapy; describe supportive care
procedures including quality of life issues with regard to patients
undergoing therapy for CRC. ACCREDITATION/DESIGNATION STATEMENT Albert Einstein College of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation
Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical
education for physicians. Physicians:
Albert Einstein College of Medicine designates this educational
activity for a maximum of 2 Category 1 Credits toward the AMA Physician's
Recognition Award. Each physician should claim those credits that he/she
actually spent in the educational activity. This CME activity was planned and produced in accordance with the
ACCME Essentials.
This program is approved for 2 hours credit (0.2 CEUs) and is
co-sponsored with the University of Tennessee College of Pharmacy who is
approved by the American Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of
continuing pharmaceutical education. A statement of CE credit will be mailed
to participants within 3 to 4 weeks of the conclusion of the program. ACPE
